Stuck in my house during lockdown, I became acutely aware of inside versus outside, the boundaries of safe and not safe, as defined by the perimeter of my house. That sense of outside and inside was also felt within my body itself, as I determined a safe boundary around my person, avoiding the brushing of bodies, jangled by the electric shock of accidental touch, aware of the reach of another’s breath. These changes in the sensations of my body were explored through drawings.
