[en]shroud
[en]shroud was an exhibition that opened in Spring 2022 after the last lockdown of the pandemic, at the Art Gallery of Northumberland. The exhibit was housed in a tiny space in the gallery- appropriate for the sensation of enclosure felt during the pandemic- and could accommodate only 1 -2 viewers at a time. Visitors entered the space through a tunnel of Tyvek- a building material that protects our homes. Tyvek also covered the window in the space, preventing us from experiencing the outside and providing a surface on which to tether photographic documentation of the creation of the Tyvek boilersuit exhibited in the room. [en]shroud asked viewers to explore the experiences of time and space that had shifted for us during the pandemic.
